Supportive Staff Visit Construction Projects in Progress | December 31, 2025.
Supportive staff and middle managers from the Addis Ababa Mega Projects Construction Office visited several ongoing construction projects. These included the development of four kilometers of parking and terminal areas, internal pedestrian walkways, and business kiosks, as well as the Addis Ababa International Convention Center and other major construction sites.
The purpose of the visit was explained by Mr. Kasahun Alemu, the Development sector Deputy General Manger in Addis Ababa Mega Projects Construction Office, who noted that the office collaborates with other entities in the planning and execution of major construction projects. He emphasized that the continued involvement of supportive staff and middle managers in such projects is vital for ensuring that the construction progresses smoothly.
During the visit, it was highlighted that understanding the construction processes and actively engaging in the various stages of development would help staff fulfill their roles more effectively. The Deputy Manager pointed out that ensuring that all staff have a clear understanding of the construction sites and their contributions will lead to more efficient and successful implementation.
Engineer Etanesh Abebe , the Administration and Finance sector Deputy Gerneral manager, also remarked that it was essential for staff to gain first-hand experience of the construction sites to better understand the key aspects of development work. This hands-on exposure would enable them to effectively contribute to the overall success of the projects.
Participants, including staff and leaders, noted that seeing the practical results of the projects and understanding their impact was encouraging. They expressed their commitment to ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently and successfully. The visit concluded with a broader discussion on how to enhance contributions and ensure positive outcomes across all construction projects.
