On January 30, 2017, Addis Ababa, a pivotal Monday Knowledge Sharing Session was held under the theme "Being Yourself in Any Circumstance." The session was led by Ato Bereket Kebede, a valued member of the Design Directorate and one of our dedicated staff members.

During the session, Ato Bereket delivered an insightful presentation on the importance of authenticity and remaining true to oneself, regardless of the circumstances. He emphasized that maintaining one's personal values, beliefs, and principles in any situation is essential for both personal growth and professional success. Ato Bereket shared that the ability to remain authentic in challenging environments fosters self-confidence, trustworthiness, and resilience.

He discussed the various pressures that professionals often face to conform to external expectations, particularly in leadership roles, and stressed the importance of resisting the temptation to compromise one's integrity in order to fit in. Ato Bereket pinted out that being yourself in the workplace doesn't just lead to personal satisfaction but also inspires others to do the same, creating a more open and inclusive working environment.

Drawing from his own experiences, Ato Bereket illustrated how authenticity in leadership can lead to better decision-making, stronger team collaboration, and improved overall performance.
