As part of the weekly Warm Monday Knowledge Sharing Series, the Addis Ababa City Administration's Mega Projects Construction Office hosted an insightful session led by W/ro Jemila Ahmed, Director of Project Development and Business Management.
In her presentation titled “Change is Always Necessary – So Prepare for It”, W/ro Jemila emphasized that change is not just inevitable, but essential for growth—whether personal, organizational, or societal. She explained that change means transitioning from the familiar to the new, often requiring shifts in mindset, approach, and systems.
Sharing her life experiences, she highlighted the importance of embracing change with readiness, commitment, and continuous learning. According to her, true transformation demands a combination of accurate information, strong desire, relevant knowledge, and consistent practical engagement.
The session was attended by directors, management members, and staff from the Mega Projects Construction Office, all of whom reflected on the role of change in achieving sustainable progress both individually and institutionally.
